Robert P Quinn, CLU Bob Quinn is the new Managing Director of the Rockville Office. Prior to his role as Managing Director, Bob was the Disability Income Specialist for The Washington Group. Bob graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in business administration. He has his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and is also a member of the following groups: Bethesda Kiwanis Club as Past President, Bethesda Kiwanis Foundation as Past President, 1999 Graduate Leadership Montgomery, and also a member of Rebuilding Together in Montgomery County. He resides in Kensington, Maryland, with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two sons, Sean and Thomas. Michael Jerome Sweet, CLU Mike Sweet is the Estate and Business Analysis Specialist for The Washington Group. He joined the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in 1999. Mike specializes in estate and business needs analysis, as well as executive and corporate benefits. Mike´s mission is to establish enduring relationships with individuals, families, businesses and their advisors based on trust. As a specialist, he provides innovative tax-efficient solutions for estate, charitable, retirement and business needs. He has an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo and his master’s degree from Central Michigan University. Mike received the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and the National Associates of Estate Planners. He is past member of the Trusts and Estate Committee at Mary Washington College, the Prince William Estate Planning Council and has served as past president and secretary of the Fredericksburg Estate Planning Council. Edward J Shanahan Sr Ted is the Investment Specialist at The Washington Group. He joined Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in 1982 after working at Merrill Lynch. He graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in economics. He later received his M.B.A. from Chaminade University. He was also a former Infantry Officer in the United States Army. In his spare time he likes to coach soccer, play tennis and ski. Ted resides in Oak Hill, Virginia, with his wife, Brenda, and two children, Teddy and Christine. Stephanie Springer Stephanie has been the Director of Employee Benefits for The Washington Group since 2001, and she has 13 years of experience in the Employee Benefits field, representing all major group insurance carriers and administrators. Stephanie provides assistance on group insurance issues to businesses of all sizes, in many industries. Her specialties include complex self-funding mechanisms, cafeteria plans and many cost-containment techniques. In the seven years Stephanie has been Director, the department has placed in the top ten in the country two times and top three in the Eastern Region three times. Tony Stanley Tony Stanley is currently a Field Director with the Washington Group. He joined the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in 2002. In his role as Field Director he is responsible for recruiting, training, and new representative development. Tony graduated from West Chester University with a B.S. in Finance. He resides in Alexandria, VA with his wife Holly. |
